In view of some reactions to the massacre by the Islamist terrorist group Hamas in Israel on October 7, 2023, which was characterized by incomprehensible cruelty, the question is being asked in many places: Is it time to say goodbye to any kind of "wokeness"?
Or is it not rather necessary to return to the original impulses of postcolonial and queerfeminist theories in relation to this contested term?
