AfterWorkConcert | Kammermusik

In the organizer's words:

The AfterWorkConcert on 30 June will feature a special program and a special line-up: you will hear members of the University Music ensembles, who perform in various chamber music ensembles alongside their involvement in the choir and orchestra.
Melancholy songs from the cycle Songs of Travel by Ralph Vaughan Williams, also known as "the English winter journey", will be performed. The Sonata for Flute and Piano by Bohuslav Martinů, written in the USA in 1945, will be performed - the wistful second movement in particular reveals the longing of the Czech composer living in exile. Two songs from the 6 Romances after Verses by English Poets by Dmitri Shostakovich, who died 50 years ago, written in 1942/43, complete the program.
