Ahoi, Müllemer Böötche!

...on the history and current situation of the Müllemer Böötche in cooperation with the Mülheim History Workshop

"Heidewitzka, Mr. Captain! Mem Müllemer Böötche sail me su jähn..." Karl Berbuer's song can still be heard today when the Müllemer Böötche makes its round trips on the Rhine. But the boat no longer stops in Cologne-Mülheim since a tanker damaged the jetty there in December 2019. Cologne-Mülheim is an essential part of the history of the Müllemer Böötche. The event will provide information about the development of the Müllemer Böötche, from its origins to the "Willi Ostermann", the last Müllemer Böötche, and will discuss the question with participants on the podium and in the audience: When will the Müllemer Böötche stop in Mülheim again? Film screening and discussion on the history and current situation with Gabi Schönau and Monika Lungmus from the Geschichtswerkstatt Köln-Mülheim.
