Australia's hard rock giants Airbourne to play six shows in Germany in spring 2026

Guitar riffs, energy, passion: Airbourne became the hottest hard rock band of the new millennium with their debut album "Runnin' Wild". With the follow-ups "No Guts. No Glory" (2010), "Black Dog Barking" (2013), "Breakin' Outta Hell" (2016) and "Boneshaker" (2019), the Australian quartet became a global hit guarantor. In Germany in particular, Airbourne have been the subject of sustained storms of enthusiasm: Four of their five albums reached a top ten position straight away. But they have also established themselves as the measure of all things in the international hard rock scene. After releasing a new album every three years, the band has now finally announced the follow-up to the now six-year-old "Boneshaker" for this year. Airbourne will then go on a world tour, including six shows in Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Wiesbaden and Saarbrücken between February 3 and March 9, 2026. These shows, like the six concerts in Germany as part of their European tour earlier this year, are expected to sell out in no time at all.
Airbourne from the Australian city of Warrnambool with a population of 30,000 embody everything that makes hard rock: guitars at AC/DC level, choruses in the style of Iron Maiden, Guns N' Roses or Mötley Crüe as well as a stage show that triggers as much euphoria as a complete heavy metal festival. With their debut "Runnin' Wild", released in May 2008, Joel O'Keeffe (vocals, guitar), Ryan O'Keeffe (drums), David Roads (guitar) and Justin Street (bass) immediately made it clear: Airbourne don't care about trends and fashions. The record, produced by Bob Marlette and Andy Wallace (Ozzy Osbourne, Alice Cooper, Guns N' Roses), was brimming with self-confidence. Accordingly, they were awarded the English Metal Hammer Award for the best debut album of the year. Since then, the band have been thrilling crowds everywhere with their rousing, no-frills show. Airbourne achieve all of this with an honest, handmade, passionate sound, which they have perfected and refined over four further albums. Four of these five albums were nominated for Australia's most prestigious music award, the ARIA Award, along with numerous other awards and nominations. Little is known about the upcoming album, which is due to be released later this year - except that Brett Tyrrell, a new rhythm guitarist, is on board, whose powerful guitar playing will bring a breath of fresh air to the band. A first insight into the upcoming sound was already given last Friday with the single "GUTSY". Beginning with a chime, Airbourne show their most refined side and are loud and bombastic. So you can be very excited about the upcoming work, which is sure to leave no eye - and certainly no armpit - dry.
