In the organizer's words:

In the cooperation project Nur Mut , the alliance partners Jugendhilfswerk e.V., zusammenleben e.V., Freiburger Wahlkreis 100% e.V. and Theater Freiburg want to revive the E-WERK as a socio-cultural venue from 18-20.7.2025.

In a creative and open project period, young people will develop ideas and concepts for the day of action in July together with Simon Endres and Lisa Klingelhöfer as artistic directors, the alliance partners as political educators and the cultural institutions E-WERK and Theater Freiburg. The aim: to rethink theater as a democratic space. Especially for young people.

Are you between the ages of 14 and 20 and would you like to take part in the Nur MUT project, behind the scenes, on stage or in the design of stage sets and installations? Register at takt.in.takt@gmail.com, become part of the project and help create a theater that is not only a platform for art, but also for your ideas and values!

The theater needs new formats!

A central aim of the project is to give young people the opportunity to experience theater as a place of creative expression and active engagement with democracy. They can help shape it: What format are we interested in? Is the grand finale a political discussion or a rave? How can we design the E-WERK as a rehearsal space for social coexistence? What do we want to do? Your ideas and visions are the core of the project - together, the alliance wants to show how theater can be used as a platform for democratic values and social participation.

By working together on concrete projects - be it rehearsing for a performance, developing an installation and its technology or designing individual program items - the young people learn how democratic processes work. They learn how to make decisions together, respect opinions and bring in different perspectives. This not only promotes artistic creation, but also encourages them to engage with social issues and develop their own attitude.
