How can we strengthen ourselves against right-wing ideologies? In this interactive workshop at the Treff° youth café, we will deal with right-wing strategies, learn to recognize fake news and develop possible courses of action against hatred and exclusion together. Through discussions, practical exercises and creative methods, we will strengthen our resilience and encourage each other to stand up for a democratic and open society. This workshop is aimed at anyone between the ages of 12 and 27 and is completely free of charge.

"The strengthening and normalization of extreme right-wing parties and positions in society and in parliaments poses many challenges for both civil society and the field of youth work. Youth studies and U18 elections have also shown a high level of approval for right-wing positions. This brings with it very specific challenges in dealing with right-wing problems, as well as the question of what can be done to counter this normalization of right-wing extremism

The aim of the workshop is to highlight extreme right-wing strategies and influence, particularly on young people, and to develop options for action in dealing with right-wing extremism: How can youth associations and institutions position themselves against extreme right-wing and discriminatory statements and actors? How can disruptions, political attacks and personal hostility from the right be dealt with? How can young people, groups or institutions actively campaign against the right and for solidarity with one another? These and other questions will be discussed together and worked on using case studies.

The workshop is aimed at young people and young adults between the ages of 12 and 27, as well as full-time and voluntary youth (association) workers.
