Over the past two decades, guitarist Alan Licht has collaborated with a veritable who's who of the experimental world. Now he returns with Havens, a sprawling double album of guitar-based compositions forged from the myriad possibilities that arise when strings collide with electricity and space. His work is characterized by contrasts and contradictions: Maximalism versus minimalism; rock leanings versus avant-garde, field-expanded expression; loose improvisation versus considered performance.

Abigail Toll creates a mixture of abstract minimalism, thoughtful drone and droning electronics. In her live shows, psychoacoustics and noise merge with the trance-like atmosphere of ancient spaces.
