»ALLES EINE FRAGE DER PERSPEKTIVE« MIT STEFAN MOSTER

In the organizer's words:

WEEKEND WORKSHOP

If you get stuck with a prose text, it is often due to the chosen narrative perspective. Some subjects and constellations require a strong first-person narrative voice, while others are better served if they are told from a third-person perspective. When writing prose, it always depends on who is speaking, why and to whom. In this workshop, we want to look at the consequences of the narrative stances and narrative situations chosen, how they affect the language, but also what can and cannot be told. With the help of writing exercises, we will try to expand our range of narrative perspectives. There will also be the opportunity to take a look at texts in progress by the participants, excerpts of which can be submitted in advance.

STEFAN MOSTER is an author and translator living in Berlin and Porvoo (Finland). He translates literature of all genres from Finnish. As an author, he mainly writes prose; most recently his novel "Bin das noch ich" (mareverlag // 2024) was published.
