Hardly any other term is currently used as inflationary as "sustainability". Sustainable clothing, heating, cars or food - it almost seems as if we have already reached our goal. And yet we are hardly getting any closer to the sustainable development goals formulated by the UN.

Can we as individuals even make a difference? How do we inspire the courage to change and the desire to shape things? Together with the Rector of Heinrich Heine University, Prof. Anja Steinbeck, the Lord Mayor of the City of Düsseldorf, Dr. Stephan Keller, neuroscientist Prof. Maren Urner and the Chairman of the German Council for Sustainable Development, Reiner Hoffmann, we will explore how knowledge about sustainable development can be turned into concrete action, how we can all become change agents and what specific framework conditions are needed in Düsseldorf to achieve this.

The panel discussion is being jointly organized by the Heine Center for Sustainable Development - Diversity, Environment and Health (HCSD) at Heinrich Heine University and the Sustainability Office of the City of Düsseldorf. It will be moderated by radio journalist Stephan Karkowsky.
