Allie Sherlock is proof that age is just a number. The 20-year-old singer/songwriter from Cork, Ireland, began her musical journey performing on the streets of her home country and in Dublin. She was just 12 years old at the time. "I grew up loving music - I was always the kid singing around the house all of the time, driving everyone mad," she comments with a smile. Not singing never seemed to be an option for the young Irish girl - luckily! She has steadily built up a following of over 14.5 million on social media thanks to her unmistakable voice and captivating presence. As well as a television appearance on Ellen DeGeneres, Allie has also had the opportunity to support artists such as OneRepublic and Gavin James on stage. After a sold-out Berlin show at the end of March, an exciting new chapter in her career begins this fall as she will play her first German headline tour, releasing her own songs that she wrote and composed herself. "How Love works" was her first single release in October and authentically reflects the young musician's creative process. With refreshing lightness and touching honesty, she talks about the (self-)doubts that catch up with her at a party: "The song was born out of an experience where I felt like an outsider at a party. Whilst watching sparks fly among my friends who were happy and partnering up, I began to question the mechanics of connection - how love actually works."
