Heinz Hellmich (Jan Josef Liefers) is under a lot of pressure. Management consultant Lian Bell (Yun Huang) and her team are to ensure a strategic reorientation of Fernfunk AG. To prove that he has recognized the signs of the times, Heinz must present himself from his most progressive side. But instead he falls into one trap after another. Could he be an old white man after all? At a business dinner, Heinz is asked to dispel any doubts about himself. The plan is to have an informal dinner at his home - an idea that meets with considerable resistance from his wife Carla (Nadja Uhl) and their children. In his new social comedy, Simon Verhoeven turns his attention to the politically correct zeitgeist with all its contradictions and absurdities. Sensitive topics such as gender-appropriate language, diversity, gender identity and the tendency towards self-optimization are taken to task with a twinkle in his eye. In doing so, he succeeds in making people's insecurities visible in an ironic way. An apt socio-political comedy.
