In the organizer's words:

It's that time again: On July 2 and 3, Altona opens its doors for the 15th time! Windows will open in every nook and cranny, residents will step out onto their balconies.
Together they give Altona a neighbourhood identity beyond anonymization, isolation and exclusion. Together they give Altona a face when they lean out of the window with their visions, when they sing, dance, play, whisper and shout their dreams and wishes: How do we want to live together?

Because ALTONA MACHT AUF! is about the open struggle for attitude and mutual respect. Because it's about all of us! So open your own windows of longing & balcony theaters - or join us at the performances in the neighborhood. Who opens when and where will be announced at short notice.
