Talk show aesthetics meet musical virtuosity, media overload meets performative precision. Language becomes sound, debates become compositions, media become stage machinery. Between Beethoven and lectern, string quartet and TikTok, operatic gestures and overload, the production drives politainment up the wall. How do talk shows, headlines and algorithms influence our understanding of politics? Who is convincing whom - and why?
The performance on 24.05.2025 will be followed by a panel discussion in cooperation with the Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung NRW. Experts from journalism and media studies will discuss the mechanisms of politainment and the interactions between media staging and democratic discourse.
