For over 15 years, Scottish singer-songwriter Amy Macdonald has been inspiring fans of all generations with her extraordinary talent for storytelling and her unmistakable voice. Born near Glasgow in 1987, Macdonald discovered her passion for music after a concert by the rock band Travis. She enthusiastically bought her first guitar at the age of 13 and taught herself to play. She was soon writing her own songs and performing in the pubs and cafés of her home town.

At the age of just 18, she sent demos to record labels and signed a contract with Vertigo in 2007. She released her debut album in the same year: "This Is The Life" was a surprise success. Over three million copies sold, top positions in the charts in her home country and several European countries, as well as over 15 times platinum speak for themselves. Her charming Scottish accent, her impressive lyrics and her unique mix of guitar pop and folk music were particularly well received by audiences. Amy Macdonald became a star overnight.

But she did not rest on her laurels. The follow-up "A Curious Thing" was released as early as 2010, again reaching top positions in the charts and receiving multiple platinum awards. Her third album "Life In A Beautiful Light" also seamlessly followed on from this success. After some personal changes, the musician temporarily retreated to her home village to reorient herself and write new music in peace. This phase resulted in her fourth album "Under Stars" in 2017, which also enjoyed great success. This was followed in October 2020 by her fifth album "The Human Demands", which was created during the first lockdown of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Now she is back with her sixth work: "Is This What You've Been Waiting For?" will be released on July 11, 2025 and reveals a bold collection of new songs in which she deals with toxic friendships, the feeling of confinement in romantic relationships and breaking out of social constraints. The common thread of the album is her unwavering determination to keep going - a message she also wants to pass on to her audience.

To celebrate this new chapter, Amy Macdonald is embarking on a major European tour in spring 2026 and will once again prove why she is considered one of the most emotional and dynamic live performers. She will also be stopping off in Germany for a total of six concerts that are not to be missed!
