“An Island in the Stormy Sea”

"Every storm feels like it will never end, until it does.

Stories don't always twist in the way you expect."

An Island in the Stormy Sea is a new play written in modern English, based on the works of Shakespeare, primarily The Tempest. The play reinvents the story of Prospero, Miranda and the island they call home, bringing to the forefront themes of overcoming oppression and trauma, celebrating queerness, and love being stronger than hate. Guided by the ethereal Trickster, audiences will see that in the end it is how we tell stories that really matters.
