Piano trios with a dark and passionate tone, interspersed with moments of light - Anastasia Kobekina devotes herself to her passion for chamber music with two of her favorite colleagues. A highlight for piano trio fans is Dvořák's most famous piano trio, named after the Bohemian ballad Dumka. The composer strings together melancholy laments and exuberant folk dance rhythms with playful freedom. The compact "Trio élégiaque" is just as free and imaginative, making the passionate emotional world of the 18-year-old Rachmaninov palpable. The opening piece is a work by the most important Ukrainian composer Valentin Silvestrov, who says of his working method: "I don't write new music. My music is a response to and an echo of what already exists." Anastasia Kobekina and her colleagues will premiere the commissioned work in Istanbul in June 2025 and present it for the first time in Germany at the Beethovenfest Bonn.
