ANDALUSISCHE NACHT: MIGUEL JOSÉ CASTELLANO - Flamenco in Perfektion

In the organizer's words:

Juan Miguel Castellano is a guitarist from the Canary Islands whose diverse musical training has resulted in a unique, eclectic style - with a flamenco-based foundation and clear classical guitar influences. He began his musical career with the timple before dedicating himself to the guitar, self-taught and later at the Conservatory of Music in Santa Cruz de Tenerife (2009-2015), where he studied classical guitar with Fernando Hernández León and modern harmony with Miguel Manescau. He then went on to study flamenco guitar at the "Rafael Orozco" Conservatory in Córdoba (2016-2020) with teachers such as Luis Medina, Manolo Franco and David Carmona, as well as masterclasses with Gerardo Núñez, Jorge Pardo and Jonathan Kreisberg, among others.

Throughout his career, he has been part of numerous musical projects such as Retahíla, Souvenir Flamenco, Caracoles, Indimaj or Cambala, in which flamenco was fused with jazz, Berber music, oriental sounds and Spanish dance. In 2021 he was awarded a prize at the "Resuena Puerto" competition. He is currently part of the guitar duo Temple, accompanies the singer Cristian Saucedo and regularly performs as a soloist. He is also involved in music productions for dance, theater, film and television, including two contributions to the British series A Town Called Malice (Sky TV). He is currently working on his first solo album Donde Habita la Verdad, which will be released soon.

A master of the art of flamenco and a feast for lovers of this spectacular musical form full of passion and emotion straight from the cradle of flamenco in Andalusia!
