Andreas Diehlmann Band

Having won the German Blues Award in the band category, the Andreas Diehlmann Band is definitely at the top of the German blues scene.

Like a well-oiled machine, the band works its way through its original compositions, which are strongly rooted in traditional blues, but still have a completely independent and modern touch. Jörg Sebald on bass and Tom Bonn on drums form the rhythmically dynamic foundation of the power trio around the exceptional guitarist Andreas Diehlmann.

"He and his band rock the stage - and that extremely powerfully to hard-hitting. In contrast to many others in his guild, the blues rockers, his focus is not on "faster, higher, further". There is no endless up and down the scale. Instead, he attaches great importance to laying a varied guitar of the finest quality over crisp, dynamic work in the "engine room". And that means that differentiated, technically demanding solos are played with as much feeling as pressure. The package is rounded off by Andreas' raspy voice, which sounds tailor-made for blues rock."
