Since the mid-2010s, Anna B Savage, who lives in County Donegal, Ireland, has developed a thoughtful and vulnerable formula for writing her songs. Her new album "You & i are Earth", follow-up to the acclaimed "A Common Turn" (2021) and "in|FLUX" (2023), will be released on January 24, 2025 via City Slang. The album was produced by John 'Spud' Murphy (Lankum, Black Midi). The first single is the earthy, whimsical song "Agnes", which is inspired by fantasy, self-reflection and the internet and was written when an interest in folk influenced Savage's relationship with social media. "There's magic here / Top inside out - don't you fear," she sings in the chorus over an instrumental that swirls around like a flurry of snowflakes. It's a floating, wondrous introduction to this soulful album. In April 2025, Anna B Savage and her band will be coming to Germany for 2 shows (15.04. Cologne, Bumann & Sohn / 16.04. Berlin, Frannz Club). This year, Savage has already supported The Staves and St. Vincent on stage - previously she was on tour with Father John Misty and Son Lux, among others.
