The renowned Hamburg singer-songwriter Anna Depenbusch announces her major tour of Germany in 2025. At more than 20 concerts, she will be accompanied for the first time by the top-class Kaiser Quartet. Together, they will interpret her poetic pieces in a new, impressive sound. The tour captures the entire spectrum of her music - from carefree lightness to profound melancholy. It is a journey "Between love and sorrow" - a title that not only describes the emotional facets of her songs, but also symbolizes her past months.

A personal new beginning after a difficult loss

For Anna Depenbusch, the year 2025 was to be marked by a new studio album. However, a tragic house fire at the beginning of the year destroyed her apartment, studio and thus also her musical workplace and center of life. "I was rescued from my burning apartment that night with nothing but my cell phone. The shock is deep and the loss of my creative home is indescribably painful," says the artist. A new album will therefore not be released this year as originally planned. But the Hamburg singer is not thinking of giving up: "I often don't know what to do with my feelings. But nothing gives me more hope than the thought of being on stage again soon. To feel the energy of my audience, to see my fans - and to sing. Singing my heart out."

An extraordinary tour with the award-winning Kaiser Quartet

Instead of a new album, Anna Depenbusch is bringing a special musical accompaniment on this tour: the Kaiser Quartet. The internationally acclaimed Hamburg string quartet, which has already worked with greats such as Chilly Gonzales, Giant Rooks and Gregory Porter, lends her songs a new depth. Together they present a selection from Depenbusch's repertoire - from classics and rarely performed gems to newer pieces. A tour full of emotion that opens up new perspectives on her music in unusual arrangements.

From Hamburg to the world of music
Since her breakthrough with "Die Mathematik der Anna Depenbusch", the singer has established herself as one of the most fascinating voices in German chanson. With numerous awards, including the Fred Jay Prize and the German Chanson Prize, as well as highly acclaimed tours - solo, with a band or on the piano - she continues to delight her audience time and time again. 2025 is now all about change, new beginnings and musical renewal.
