Literature LIVE book premiere "1000 last dates. How I looked for love and found something better"
Anna is 36, used to be engaged, lives separately from the father of her child and is venturing back onto the dating scene after 12 years. She has no idea about dating apps, polyamory and the current ghosting etiquette - now she wants to find out whether the journey really is the destination when it comes to dating.
We accompany Anna as she ponders love, the best places to date and the supposed fear of commitment of her generation. And on her dates: she reaches her limits on some encounters, but learns something about herself on almost all of them. Is she more uptight than she thought? Or not so feminist after all? Is she looking for a man for life or just a bit of fun?
In her fight against loneliness in the big city, she encounters annoying fuckboys, closet racists, pick-up artists and other weird contemporaries. It's bizarre, entertaining and instructive - we learn, for example, how not to do it. And we find out what's clear in 2025 when it comes to dating, what's not possible and what at least makes a good story.
"1000 letzte Dates" will be published by Kiepenheuer & Wisch on October 9, 2025, 224 pages
