Annahstasia Enuke has one of those voices that you only come across every few years. Soft and deep at the same time, sometimes tenderly yearning, sometimes infused with a wisdom that you can't really attain in your late twenties. When you hear the American-Nigerian singer, you soon think of big names like Bill Withers, Nina Simone or Janis Joplin. Musically, Annahstasia oscillates between folk, soul and a touch of punk - carried by a voice that fills rooms and opens hearts.

With her debut album "Tether" (release date: 13.06.25 via drink sum wtr), Annahstasia is now continuing along this path. It is a work full of intimacy, resilience and devotion - carried by songs that she has written over the years, tested on tour and filled with life. The album was produced in the legendary Valentine Studios in Los Angeles - recorded exclusively in live takes to capture the moment. At her side: producers such as Jason Lader (Frank Ocean, ANOHNI) and guests such as the surrealist poet Aja Monet or the Nigerian-British musician Obongjayar, with whom she wrote the intense duet "Slow".

Ever since her EP "Surface Tension", Annahstasia has been regarded as one of the most exciting voices of the new soul/folk generation. "Tether" is now her most personal work to date - full of delicate power and lyrical depth. She will be touring Germany in October to show live what this voice can do.
