Annes Kultursalon – Oldenburg: Kulturhauptstadt Europas oder des Ammerlandes?

In the organizer's words:

Does Oldenburg have the potential to become a European Capital of Culture or would we rather remain a lovable provincial town?

Oldenburg has concentrated cultural power in the interplay between the state's cultural institutions (state theater, state museums, etc.) and the city's cultural venues (Horst Janssen & City Museum, Medienhaus, PFL, etc.) and the independent scene (Kulturetage, Laboratorium, Theaterhof 19, Wrede, Gleispark and many more). An application could unleash this power, regardless of whether we win the bid or not. The necessary cooperation for a concept alone would change Oldenburg's cultural landscape in the long term. So let's go!

The discussion will be illustrated and commented on by creative scenic performances, musical contributions or interactive improvisations with the audience.
