Another Open Stage x Black & Queer NRW - A Celebration of Black Art

As part of Black History Month, Black & Queer NRW and Another Open Stage have joined forces to celebrate Black art in all its forms. Art is not only expression, but also resistance - it preserves knowledge, tells stories and stands for the resilience of the Black and queer Black community. At the same time, it opens up new perspectives on our common future.

What can you expect?

Look forward to a special edition of Another Open Stage goes Black & Queer in the unique atmosphere of Turistarama, a hidden gem near Neumarkt. For one evening, this space will become a stage for music, dance and poetry - a diverse line-up that shows how powerful and multifaceted Black art is.

With 8 wonderful acts, you can expect a mixture of rousing beats, moving spoken word poetry and expressive dance.

Everyone is welcome at Another Open Stage - whether you want to perform yourself, support the community or are simply curious. Come along and experience how art connects people and shapes the future.

Admission:

Admission is free of charge. If you would like to support our events, we recommend making a donation at your own discretion. This can be between 5 and 15 euros, depending on your ability and wishes. After covering the event costs, your generous donation will go to Black and Queer NRW and make the group's special work possible. A donation box will be available on site and Paypal can also be used. Thank you for your help and for taking part!

Although our location is not completely barrier-free, we are determined to make our events inclusive and welcoming for all. If you would like to attend and need support, please do not hesitate to contact us. Together we will find a solution to ensure that you can be part of the event.
