From Andalusia to New York and beyond - Antonio Lizana is one of the best-known representatives of new flamenco jazz from southern Spain. As a jazz saxophonist, flamenco singer and composer, his live performances have been described as a "breathtaking journey from the roots of flamenco to contemporary jazz". He interweaves his soulful lyrics, which carry messages of optimism and sincerity to his audience.

Antonio Lizana has played with his band in more than 30 countries and has performed at renowned festivals such as Womex, Etnosur, SXSW Austin, the flamenco festivals in London, New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco, the Barcelona Voll Damm Festival, the Shanghai Jazz Fest (China), the Casablanca Jazz Fest (Morocco) and the Flamenco Biennale (Netherlands).

Born and raised in San Fernando, a province of Cádiz and one of the cradles of flamenco singing, numerous collaborations with local artists have left their mark on him. These experiences have shaped his technique and style and enabled him to share the authentic flamenco spirit with the world. He is one of the few Spanish artists to have recorded an NPR Tiny Desk Concert in the US and has worked with artists such as Arturo O'Farrill and Alejandro Sanz on Grammy-winning works.

His other collaborations include Snarky Puppy, Marcus Miller, Chano Domínguez, Alfredo Rodríguez, Ari Hoenig, Jorge Drexler, India Martínez, Jorge Pardo, Shai Maestro, Chambao, José Mercé, Josemi Carmona, Carmen Linares and Pepe Habichuela.
