Vivaldi's most famous work is one of the most important representatives of Baroque program music. In each of the four concertos, the composer portrays a season and masterfully depicts the typical moods, natural phenomena and festivals of spring, summer, fall and winter. Hardly any other Baroque work is played and recorded so often to this day. Let us take you on a musical journey through the year - what could be better suited for this than "The Four Seasons"?

With the Nymphenburg String Soloists. Following the example of the legendary Berlin Amati ensemble of the 1960s, first-class soloists and section leaders from the established Munich chamber music and orchestral scene formed a rousing and dynamic string ensemble in 2005.

Soloist Angelika Lichtenstern is regarded as a breathtakingly brilliant violinist

and an uncompromising, musical border crosser with no fear of contact.
