Hailing from Toronto, Canada, the group, led by Steve 'Lips' Kudlow and Robb Reiner and bassist Chris Robertson, have not only had an impressive career with many high points - but also well-known difficulties - but have also had a lasting influence on countless world-famous musicians, from Metallica to Slayer and beyond.

Their latest studio album rightly bears the programmatic title 'One And Only': Anvil are and remain unique and are shaping the current metal scene in a similarly impressive way as they did at the beginning of their career. How do they achieve this? With straightforward metal driven by cutting riffs and catchy hooks, which the musicians continue to celebrate with admirable nonchalance and great passion.
