The shortage of skilled workers is THE hot topic for employers - and not just in Munich. Labor migration is influenced by many factors, including the climate crisis: people migrate when climatic conditions make living and working more difficult. However, they are also specifically recruited to counteract the shortage of skilled workers, e.g. in climate-relevant professions. What experiences, demands and interests are there in the context of such labor migration? How can Munich create fair conditions for migrant professionals? Together with experts from science, civil society, administration and companies, we will develop recommendations. There will also be plenty of time to network and exchange ideas over soul food and drinks.

Keynote: Climate change and migration: what we know about the connection and what options for action there are (Birgit Glorius, Professor of Human Geography with a focus on European migration research at Chemnitz University of Technology, member of the Expert Council on Integration and Migration)
