After a one-year break, arc gallery will reopen at Tresor.West in Dortmund on 23 August 2025 - with a curated program of immersive media art, sound, dance and club culture. Under the motto "There is no them in here - just an awful lot of us", the format invites you to a collective experience between day and night, high culture and subculture.

Where contradictions meet, new connections emerge
arc gallery has been using unused club spaces in the Ruhr region as a platform for digital and immersive art since 2022. In this year's edition, it transforms the interior of Tresor.West into a kaleidoscope of artistic encounters: between more-than-human avatars, virtual reality meditations, robotic animals, data dance fabrics and hypnotic video art.

This year's edition creates space for seemingly contradictory perspectives - between day and night life, established and experimental formats, collective and subjective perception. It is aimed at a community that moves beyond the traditional boundaries of exhibition, party and performance.

In "Octopussy", an immersive theater format in the club space, the collective from the shell subverts patriarchal structures with drag, puzzles and pop-up performances.

21.00 CAPRIZAEN (Tintin Patrone)

Tintin Patrone's "CAPRIZAEN" uses sound, video and fairytale references to question the idealized country lifestyle - on a Greek island full of conspiracy, goats and digital metaphors. In their live performance "With a Smile and a Song", algorithmic animal voices, trombone and post-anthropocene Disney quotes intertwine to create a dark soundscape.
