AXEL HAXEL is a DJ, selector, and passionate vinyl collector delivering organic and synthesized journeys since 2012. He is head chef at @kitchensessions_int, a daytime open-air party in off-locations that serves both auditory and culinary treats, as well as a platform for artists to share their record selections in tropical matinée settings. Based in Lima for the past seven years, Axel has been deeply involved in record digging across Peru. His discoveries contributed significantly to Vivá el Sábado, a compilation of Peruvian funk, disco, and synth-pop from the ’80s, released on Buh Records—one of Peru’s leading contemporary labels—to critical acclaim.
