A horror film director in a creative crisis receives a package whose contents bear witness to a friend's latest film experiments. He reluctantly examines the material and, forced by drugs, is drawn into the excessive, self-dissolving addiction of the mysterious filmmaker, described by the sender with the word "arrebato" ("rapture"). A hallucinatory examination of the secret potential of film itself and a cult classic of the Movida Madrileña, which after the end of Francoism established a youth culture characterized by punk and anarchism that produced directors such as Pedro Almodóvar.
