Art & Wine: Watercolor painting course with wine tasting

Spend a creative and relaxed evening of painting & enjoyment at our "Art & Wine" event at Maki Handmade Atelier Stuttgart West.

Under the guidance of artist Chris, you will be introduced to the world of watercolor painting - with real wine as paint! You can put your own works of art on paper with the special coloring of wine, accompanied by an exquisite tasting by our experienced sommelier Kim, who will present us with a fine selection of German wines during the evening.

The evening starts at 18:00 in the Maki Handmade Atelier with a glass of sparkling wine to welcome you and a short round of introductions.

Afterwards, artist Chris will introduce you to the art of watercolor painting and the colors with relaxed exercises. colors. The special feature: we paint with boiled wine that Chris has already prepared for you. We start with simple exercises to familiarize ourselves with the watercolour technique and the wine colors.

While you paint, you will taste two white wines and a red wine from Germany in addition to the sparkling wine with our wine expert Kim, perfectly matched to the relaxed evening. Interesting information awaits you and you will receive a handout for notes on the tasted wines. Of course, there will also be time for questions and discussion in between.

After the exercises, we will paint the wine glass exercise motif and your first watercolor artwork will be created. We have two options to choose from for the main motif , which you can easily create using a pre-drawn silhouette. Of course, you can also draw your own motif freehand and give free rein to your creativity.

On this special evening, your hosts will be Frederike and Camilo from Maki Handmade, a charming goldsmith's shop with a creative space in Stuttgart West. You won't find a fancy event location here, but a creative, informal and relaxed atmosphere :)
