Arte com Alma – Kreativ-Workshop für Kinder beim Palop’s Festival

✨ Arte com Alma - Creative workshop for children at Palop's Festival! ✨

As part of Palop's Brasil & Portugal Festival, the Arte com Alma workshop will be a special experience for children aged 5 to 13. Together with Angolan artist Isabel das Chagas, the children will create imaginative collages from fabrics, newspaper and natural materials.

🎨 Why "Arte com Alma"?

"Arte com Alma" means art with a soul. The children learn to see everyday materials in a new light and use them creatively. They learn through play what art has to do with identity, origin and community. It's not just about making things - it's also about getting to know the roots of the dances and stories from the so-called PALOP countries: Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau and São Tomé and Príncipe. These countries share the Portuguese language and many cultural ties.

👧🏾👦🏼 Creativity meets empowerment

The workshop is not just about cutting and pasting - it creates a space for self-confidence, cultural exchange and new friendships. At the end, the children can take their works home with them or exhibit them directly in the festival area.

🌞 Parallel for parents & families:

While the children are crafting, parents and accompanying adults can enjoy the colorful stage program: samba and kizomba dances, capoeira, gospel music and live music by local and international artists*, delicious food, market stalls and much more. The workshop takes place in a barrier-free, easily accessible tent directly on the Berger Festplatz - so you're always close by.
