Actress Elisabeth Sparkle's career is coming to an end and her sexist producer wants to replace her with a younger actress. Desperate, she resorts to a creepy product that promises to create a more attractive version of her - and of her.
In her feminist-satirical body horror, director Coralie Fargeat takes a look behind the glittering façade of Hollywood and creates an "outrageous and debauched piece of genre film that throws all forms of restraint and nuance overboard" (taz).
