The works of Mikheil (Mishiko) Sulakauri and Saba Gorgodze are part of the exhibition NEW DYNAMICS Transforming Diversity

Mikheil (Mishiko) Sulakauri and Saba Gorgodze provide extensive insights into the development of street art, graffiti, political art and architecture in Tbilisi (Georgia), including the accompanying changes in the visual and cultural landscape of the city. They show the distinctive visual language in Tbilisi from different angles and share their personal experiences and challenges in their own artistic work in public space.

Mikheil (Mishiko) Sulakauri is a Georgian street artist whose work is deeply rooted in the observation of social change, especially in relation to cultural heritage sites, public spaces and the transitions between rural and urban environments. His artistic career began in his youth, when he turned to graffiti art and developed his own style under the pseudonym "LAMB", which today characterizes the streets of Tbilisi. Sulakauri is also a co-founder of the graffiti collective "ცრუ" (false), which was founded in 2017 and has had a significant influence on the graffiti scene in Georgia.

Saba Gorgodze is a Georgian photographer from Tbilisi whose artistic practice is deeply rooted in observation and reflection. He studied photography at Ilia State University and uses photography as his main means of expression. His exhibitions include major international events such as Frieze London 2024, TbilisiPublicArt 2024 and Oxygen Biennale 2021. Gorgodze focuses on an unbiased point of view and strives to continuously develop his photographic perspective to capture the world around him in an unbiased way and in all its complexity.
