Pure Arvo Pärt

The Estonian conductor Paavo Järvi hardly needs an introduction in Hamburg. With the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, of which he has been Artistic Director since 2004, and as Music Director of the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, he gives numerous concerts here every year. With the Pärnu Music Festival, which he founded in 2011, Järvi has built up another musical mainstay. The reputation of the festival and the ensemble based there - the Estonian Festival Orchestra - now extends far beyond the Baltic States. Now he returns with the ensemble and a program dedicated exclusively to the music of Järvi's famous compatriot Arvo Pärt to mark his 90th birthday.
