Åsa Okutani

In the organizer's words:

The Swedish singer Åsa Okutani is a guest at the Honigfabrik, Hamburg. She sings jazz and Swedish folk and also brings a message with her: "Be kind to yourself" (Var snäll mot dig själv) - one of her own pieces.

She studied at the world-famous Berklee College in Boston, USA and in Gothenburg, Sweden. She now lives in Östersund and teaches singing, mental training and composition. She is active in various formations and plays French horn, piano and guitar.

At the Honigfabrik she is supported by Christian Bauer on guitar and mandolin. Together they play good-humored jazz, bossa and Swedish folk songs.
