ASHES

One step. Time stands still. ASHES is a dance theater production for two special dancers and a live musician, in which singular threshold experiences become tangible as the signature of a reality fixed in the present. They are on the threshold of their passion, soon their dancing time will end. The resilient dance body is a scarce resource. With this insight, the open moment of the threshold is a special moment of experience, a moment of pause, of shared understanding, of condensed emotion. Fear, confidence and sadness accompany this precarious moment of fulfilled presence between the unfulfilled past and the still blind future. The threshold step is an aesthetic experience in which the frozen loosens and begins to dance.
