Düsseldorf and Warsaw have not only been twinned for thirty years - the state capital is also home to numerous references to events and personalities from their shared German-Polish history. There is the Polish revolutionary who laid down his life on Düsseldorf's barricades, the Polish princess in Düsseldorf's ruling house or the writers and poets who dedicated their attention to their Polish neighbors in their works. On a tour we discover the Polish traces in Altstadt and Carlstadt.
