Immerse yourself in the early days of aviation. A time when the dream of flying was still a very big one for people. "Aufwind" takes you on a virtual reality journey through time to the German pioneers of aviation. With "Aufwind", we have created a unique film experience in which you slip into the role of Thea Rasche from Essen. She was one of the first female aerobatic pilots in the world and achieved international fame as the "Flying Fräulein". With her, you overcome boundaries and resistance, assert yourself against prejudice and show everyone what you are made of.
The special thing about "Aufwind" is the mixture of movie and virtual world. You become part of the story, travel through the Essen of the early 20th century and even take off in an airplane from the former Essen-Rotthausen airport at the end thanks to virtual reality. Using a "motion seat", your virtual movements can be experienced in real life. You can feel the vibration, wind, heat, cold and smell and immerse yourself completely in history. You can even steer the vehicles and aircraft yourself using a steering wheel on the motion seat.
