With his bristly male hairstyle and forced, boyish movements, Karl M. Baer meets the playwright Rudolf Presber. He helps the young Karl to tell his story not just to himself, but to everyone: How he went from being a girl to a man. And so, in 1907, the book Aus eines Mannes Mädchenjahre by N.O. Body. In 1994, the historian Hermann Simon reveals his true identity. The lecture performance by Raphaëlle Oskar explores historical gender relations through the lens of the transition and perception of N.O. Body aka Karl M. Baer.
