Jean Rondeau is a gifted soloist on harpsichord, organ and piano, for which he was awarded the Deutschlandfunk Prize at the 2016 Musikfest. The French all-round musician cultivates his love of chamber music with the quartet Nevermind, which he co-founded. Together, the four early music "cracks" also want to give forgotten composers a new voice. Jean-Baptiste Quentin (ca. 1690 - 1742) enjoyed a high reputation as a violinist at the Académie Royale de Musique, which later became the Paris Opera. His work was inspired by Italian music and strongly influenced by Arcangelo Corelli. Nevermind combines this delightful insight into music that is little known in this country with Georg Philipp Telemann's Paris Quartets No. 4 and No. 6, two of his most mature compositions for this instrumentation. Irresistibly fresh and expressively played by Nevermind, you can expect sparkling jewels of baroque chamber music!
