This year's day trip takes us to the old imperial city of Aachen. We travel by coach, starting at 8.30 am.
But first we will head for the historically interesting town of Kornelimünster with its former imperial abbey. A short guided tour with an expert guide is planned.
We will then travel to Aachen, where we will first take a break and give you the opportunity to explore the old town on your own or stop off at cafés or restaurants.
After the lunch break, we will take a guided tour of Aachen's old town. The guides will tell us some stories about the people of Aachen and Aachen and take us to the most beautiful places in the old town, including the fascinating Aachen Cathedral, the magnificent town hall and the playful doll's fountain.
We will leave Aachen later in the afternoon and stop for a bite to eat on the way home. The planned return to Cologne will be between 7 and 8 pm.
