AUSGESTELLT - Werkschau der Studierenden der Bildenden Kunst an der LMU München

In the organizer's words:

AUSGESTELLT is the revival of a student exhibition format and sees itself as an invitation to get to know current artistic positions at LMU, to enter into conversation and to discover new perspectives.

What does it mean to study art today? What does artistic practice look like at the interface between education, multimedia and fine art?

The AUSGESTELLT exhibition provides an insight into the diverse fields of work and forms of expression of fine arts students at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.

In the exhibition, all fields of study at the institute- art education, art and multimedia as well as visual arts teaching - are presented together with works from the entire spectrum of artistic media: painting, printmaking, photography, film, installation, performance, light and media techniques. On display are both semester projects and free, often non-university works - experimental, personal, political, conceptual or simply beautiful.

AUSGESTELLT sees itself not only as a classic exhibition, but also as a platform for exchange, mediation and encounters. Workshops, performances and accompanying events will take place throughout the duration of the exhibition. Both the vernissage on September 11 and the finissage on September 27 invite visitors to linger, join in and celebrate with DJ sets and open formats.

The exhibition is open to everyone - art lovers and the curious, young and old, friends of art and skeptics alike. If you want to know what aspiring artists are working on today, what themes move them and what forms they find to express themselves, this is the right place for you.
