Monsters and creatures - between myth and reality

This exhibition focuses on fantastic and endangered creatures - real, extinct and imaginary creatures as well as strange figures from mythologies and urban legends.

Bestiaries, as they were widespread in the Middle Ages, combined scientific knowledge with mythical tales. They not only served to educate, but also provided inspiration and fascination for generations of readers.

The project takes you into the mysterious world between reality and fantasy and presents a unique collection of creatures: from mythical animals and forgotten beasts to fabulous creatures from regional lore.

Visitors have the chance to win one of 140 works by artists from all over the world by drawing lots. The prints will be handed out on June 10 in the historic waiting room.

Additional highlight: a specially designed T-shirt combining the WGT and the Bestiarium exhibition - while stocks last.
