In the organizer's words:
The group exhibition The Space In Between explores those in-between spaces that often go unnoticed - between past and present, reality and memory, body and identity, resistance and everyday life.
With different photographic perspectives, eight photographers in this exhibition tell of forgotten places and lost stories, of political struggles and personal traumas, of social norms and their dissolution. Landscapes meet street photography, the ephemeral meets the contemporary, the intimate meets the political.
Sometimes it is the quiet tones that resonate the longest. What remains unspoken between the lines? What is hidden in the "in-between"? How can the invisible be made visible?
The Space In Between invites you to take a closer look - and to make the unspoken visible.
The exhibition is a project of Mustafah Abdulaziz's seminar at the Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie, Berlin.
