Ausstellung: Paolo Moretto & Rolf Naedler – Entzückende Momente und ein Hauch von Ewigkeit

In the organizer's words:

The artists Paolo Moretto and Rolf Naedler, who live and work in Hamburg, are showing a selection of paintings, collages, prints, objects and works with textile elements in their joint exhibition "Delightful moments and a touch of eternity".

Moretto takes a playful approach, drawing inspiration from found objects, various materials and patterns that previously had a different function. He varies techniques freely and invents new ones in the process. His oeuvre is broadly diversified. He creates large filigree sculptures and combines textile techniques, painting and collages in the work process.

Naedler's artistic focus is on painting, which he also combines with printing techniques or collages. Etching is also an independent artistic medium. He works on thematic cycles of flora and fauna. Isolated creatures or objects are embedded in patterns or structures, creating new references and metaphors.

Both artists play with illusions and break them again. They are suspicious of beauty and pure harmony. This is where the works of Moretto and Naedler correspond.

Viewing times for paintings in the hall and foyer: usually Mon - Fri, 11:00 - 18:00. Paintings in the hall can be viewed when it is free. You are welcome to make an appointment.
