Under the title Imagination, Frankfurt photographer Per Schorn will be presenting his two series Imagination and stumble / chameleon at the Stadtkirche Darmstadt from July 4.
Per has a special connection to Darmstadt. He studied design at the Mathildenhöhe from 2003 to 2008 and later returned to his old place of study for a few semesters as a lecturer. During his studies, he helped with the first "Darmstadt Days of Photography" and exhibited some of his early works there. Per Schorn's pictures have already been shown in exhibitions in Frankfurt and Berlin, among others, and have won prestigious art awards.
At first glance, the two series appear to be very different - be it purely formally through the format, stumble / chamaleon as a landscape format pair, Imagination in portrait format - but also the subject matter: Imagination shows the journey of a small bobby car through the big city, stumble /chameleon people stumbling on the street and subsequently wanting to disappear into the wall.
The connecting element between the two series is the power of imagination, which brings both pictorial worlds to life in the viewer's mind.
