Day after day, month after month, year after year, COP after COP, climate change is increasingly upsetting the balance of our planet.
Natural disasters, extreme heatwaves, droughts and fires - the list is long.
The main long-term challenge is the rise in temperature.
It is leading to the melting of glaciers and thus to rising sea levels. Entire regions are beginning to disappear.

This is the case in Bangladesh, a small country in South Asia, most of which lies below sea level - with visible and tangible consequences.

Here in Pratab Nagar, in the south of the country in the rural province of Shatkira, it already seems to be too late.
Everything is gray, muddy and salty. In this village in the once fertile Ganges delta, the main economic activity today is aquaculture.
The people live to the rhythm of the tides, which flood parts of their houses for about three hours a day.
Most of the men in the village are working on building a dyke to protect the area from flooding in the future.

Climate change will soon become the main cause of global population movements.
This can be seen, for example, in the slum of Duari Para, on the outskirts of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh and one of the most densely populated cities in the world.
Families who once made a quiet living from farming in the south of the country are now crowded into miserable huts.
The slum is built on stilts on the edge of a lake, but flooding remains a constant threat as their dwellings are regularly submerged in heavy rain.
