Ausstellungseröffnung "taumelnd trauen, verschlungen bleiben"

In the organizer's words:

This exhibition is the artistic expression of a group that processes the world in crisis. How can we face the turmoil while remaining hopeful? As we stumble through the thicket of our rapidly changing environment, as we stumble over increasing geopolitical tensions, our work is a quest. The works show ways in which we can act despite being overwhelmed, how we can wriggle our way through unjust power structures, how we can try to tell stories of people and more-than-humans moving forward, staggering, yet unstoppable.

The novel Gun Island by Amitav Ghosh can be understood as the underlying current of the exhibition, a swampy delta from which the works intertwine both with the themes of the book and with each other, like a dense, emergent network of roots in the mud.

We invite you to move between the works and see them as places to rest, as moments to linger in collective reflection on the pressing issues of our time.
